Wacom Bamboo Fun

Wacom the world’s leading graphic’s tablet  has designed the Bamboo tablets , which is a  range of affordable pen tablets aimed at more casual users who can’t justify the relatively high price of the Intous4 range .

The Bamboo is available in two versions : Bamboo and Bamboo Fun. Both  tablets are aimed at the consumers  .   Bamboo is designed primarily for office tasks rather than artistic work.

For digital photography, the Bamboo Fun is the better choice. The primary difference between the Bamboo and Bamboo Fun is the inclusion of a mouse on the latter, and more importantly, the addition of an eraser on the pen, making it easy to correct adjustments on the fly. The Bamboo Fun is also available in two sizes, with a 4x6 and 6x8 version. The standard Bamboo is available in 4x6 only.

With a stylish, white design, Bamboo Fun comes with Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, as well as ArtRage 2.0, making it a versatile input device ideal for consumers keen to develop their creative skills. Users can easily produce more natural and authentic-looking paintings, sketches and drawings, as well as retouch, improve, manage and share digital photographs. The four programmable ExpressKeys on the tablet itself make it quick and easy to use different shortcuts. Bamboo’s Touch Ring is ideal to zoom in and out or scroll through documents.

Intuos 4

The Intuous 4 is a graphic tablet which comes in four sizes: small, medium, large and extra large.

It is designed for both professionals and serious home users and allows maximization of productivity, comfort, usability and control for every task.

The tablet is a pointing device, and works like the mouse. It comes with an electronic pen that operates on top of the tablet. With this tablet you can create illustrations, web graphics and banners in addition to editing digital photos, create animations and even use all the office applications. The tablet can actually replace the mouse.

Graphic tablets are a popular option for digital image editing and other graphics where a mouse does not give you the degree of control that you would like or need.

Wacom has once again re-invented the wheel with the new version of intuos 4.The new Wacom premium tablet is an appealing mix of hardware and software refinements. With a Sleek design , the tablet itself went through a major makeover. Its smart reversible design is for both right and left handed. In order to apply with the wider HD format , with active areas of 16:10 aspect ratio intended to match the screen of modern cinema displays.

The Express keys are now sensibly grouped to one side .There are some new keys such as radial menu, info and Precision mode.Pressure Sensitivity: Is the reason people buy a tablet . The pen now reacts to just a single gram of pressure It now has 2048 levels of pressure in comparison to 1024 in Intuos 3.Illuminated Display:With the new Led’s you can see exactly what’s programmed. The display updates instantly when you change applications.Scroll Ring: lets you speed dial through zoom levels and brush sizes. The touch Ring can be programmed to zoom and scroll, change your brush size in photo shop, or as a scrubber wheel if you edit video. No more touch strips .The Grip pen has also been redesigned . A rubberlike finish along the bottom half of the pen helps you keep a firm grip.It has been updated with new Tip sensor technology which enables you smoother, more precise strokes. It is ergonomic and comfortable.

Verdict:Put your old Intuos 3 on ebay or pass it on and buy an Intuos 4.It feels like a pencil on paper and certainly is not as slippery as the intuos 3 ).New users and experienced users will both fall in love with the product.
